This is the question people ask us more than any other, usually quietly, and often after they have already been putting it off for weeks. The answer is short.
No. You do not need a referral. You do not need an appointment. You do not need a concession card, a Medicare card, a healthcare card, or a letter from anybody.
The things we do not ask
We do not means test. We do not ask what you earn, whether you are working, what your visa status is, or why you need a hand this week. It is not our business and it does not change what we can offer you.
Walking in
Someone says hello. You say what you are after, or you say you are not sure, which is what most people say. If we run the thing you need, we tell you when it is on. If we do not, we usually know who does, and we will tell you that instead of sending you away.
If walking in is the hard part
Some people would rather not turn up cold, and that is fair enough. You can ring the centre on 02 9603 2500 first and ask anything you like, including how busy it is and who will be there. You can also use the form on our contact page.
